“Who would ever suspect that a tiny little mouse could wear out an energetic young boy? Well, if you're going to go around giving an exuberantly bossy rodent a cookie, you'd best be prepared to do one or two more favors for it before your day is through. For example, he'll certainly need a glass of milk to wash down that cookie, won't he? And you can't expect him to drink the milk without a straw, can you? By the time our hero is finished granting all the mouse's very urgent requests--and cleaning up after him--it's no wonder his head is becoming a bit heavy.”

The Coffee House Series will be starting in February with a great lineup of folk musicians. You can buy a package deal of ALL FOUR CONCERTS FOR $30! The price will be $10 a performance purchased individually.

The duet of Jan Krist and Jim Bizer, both great nationally known solo folk musicians, will appear on Friday, March 14th at 7:30 P.M. They are nationally known for their singing/song writing skills and it's a double treat with both of them appearing.

If anyone saw the opening act for Greg Brown last year, folks by the name of Joe and Vicki Price, they know what a treat this evening will be with some of the best banjo and guitar picking and singing around! They were recently inducted into the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame, but they perform a variety of tunes. They'll be appearing on Saturday, April 19th at 7:30 P.M.

It's a great lineup and there is something for everyone.

Raised in Kimball, South Dakota, Becky Schlegel has been making music as long as she can remember. A multi-year winner of the Minnesota Music Award for Bluegrass/Old-Time Artist of the Year, Becky has also appeared several times on Garrison Keillor's public radio show, A Prairie Home Companion. Featuring her beautiful, expressive voice and powered by her stellar guitar playing, this evening with Becky Schlegel and her band promises an array of original heart-felt and imaginative songs.
