Faire Winds Tour

An Unforgettable Evening of Folk and Celtic Music by these Internationally Known Performers

Aoife Clancy (pronounced "Eefa") brings a refreshing new voice to folk music, one that ranges from traditional Irish songs to ballads and contemporary folk. Aoife comes from the small town of Carrick-on-Suir, in County Tipperary, Ireland. Her father Bobby Clancy of the legendary Clancy Brothers, placed a guitar in her hands at age ten, and by age fourteen was playing with her father in nearby pubs. She toured with "Cherish the Ladies" for many years.

Anne Hills' exquisite voice delights folk music lovers around the world. Her songs, whether lively or a slow, are always a musical treat. Tom Paxton says, "She is quite simply one of my absolute favorite songwriters."

Since 1985, Christina Smith and Jean Hewson, both native Newfoundlanders, have dedicated themselves to the preservation and performance of traditional folk music. Anyone who enjoys Celtic music will want to hear these spirited singers who play wonderful guitar and fiddle.
